SK Bosnia Online EU Teplice: Disappointment with BSWW’s Decision on the World Winners Cup 2025!
With deep disappointment, SK Bosnia Online EU Teplice announces that despite years of hard work, investments, and honest efforts to build a beach soccer foundation, our application for the World Winners Cup 2025 has not been accepted.
Fairness? An Unanswered Question
Our club is one of the most comprehensive projects in Central Europe – systematically developing men’s, women’s, and youth teams. Yet, preference was given to other clubs, including those that:
- have neither comparable history nor achievements,
- do not build long-term structures,
- and in some cases were formed ad hoc solely for the purpose of participation.
How can BSWW explain that these teams are granted a place at the tournament, while clubs that truly work for the future of beach soccer are left aside?
A Blow to Trust and Motivation
Instead of supporting systematic development, BSWW appears to prioritize short-term projects. This approach is not only incomprehensible but also demotivating – for players, coaches, partners, and fans alike.
It undermines confidence in transparent decision-making processes and casts doubt on the values that sport should embody.
This decision also directly affects our international collaborators, respected figures such as Luca Addarri, Gabriele Gori, Angelo Panarello, and Salvatore Castrianni. They, too, were misled by this process, and their trust has been shaken.
The Open Question: Rules of Participation
Another controversial issue is the participation of teams from countries involved in armed conflicts. Our position is clear:
- We do not demand exclusion based on nationality.
- We do not support collective blame.
- We demand unified, transparent, and pre-defined rules that guarantee safety and fairness for all participants.
Sport must stand on the principles of fair play, human rights, and respect. If these principles do not apply, then what remains?
What Comes Next?
Our participation in the Euro Winners Cup is a rightful achievement – the result of hard work. On that, there will never be any doubt. SK Bosnia Online EU Teplice will continue its path – with players of all age categories, with the support of partners, and with loyal fans.
At the same time, we feel it is our duty to say openly: if BSWW’s decision-making remains opaque and unfair, this will not foster the development of beach soccer – it will hold it back.
Statement from SK Bosnia Online EU Teplice President – Adnan Beganović
“I’ve already said too much, so let me put it simply: they should not have sent us an invitation! It is not our fault if the organizers are unable to manage properly – that is fact, not speculation.
No space? Interesting. Russians are banned, but Israel can participate? Is that not a double standard? And this is only one of many questionable issues.
Those who know me understand well: politics and religion have no place in sport! I stand firmly by that. But Israel’s presence is not a problem? Thank you – in the end, we are glad we will not be attending what looks like a private party of Catania’s Italian champion.
It is a great shame, because we live and breathe beach soccer. From a global organization, we expect solutions, support, and clear rules – not the undermining of those who build the sport over the long term.
As for the Champions League – the Euro Winners Cup 2026 – our participation is 100% guaranteed, because that spot belongs to the Czech champions, and that is us! If BSWW ever tries to undermine us on this basis, it would be nothing but a personal matter.
I sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming support we have received since last night. Teplice stands together! And so does the Czech Republic!”
